Essential Techniques in Drawing and Painting:
- tone and value
- texture and marks
- shape and form
- colour theory
- composition and space
Learning these techniques will give you the essential skills to produce realistic images. You will use different materials and tools to create drawings and paintings of 3d objects and people. Subjects include: the still life, the human figure and the portrait.
You will also be shown examples of inspirational artists’ work, and given individual advice during and at the end of the course. This is especially useful for those who want to understand their strengths and weaknesses as artists.
Please note the course is in English but you do not need to be good at English to join the class. All are welcome!
